We have two different reports which gets displayed our Biometric and Biometric with document capture report. The primary difference between the two reports are as follows
Biometric Report: This applies to individuals who were verified using a previously enrolled/verified biometric or a biometric received directly from Department of Home Affairs (DHA).
Biometric with Document Capture: This applies to individuals who were required to provide document capture due to the unavailability of a biometric at Department of Home Affairs (DHA), DHA being offline, or the individual being a Non-RSA citizen.
Biometric Report
This description pertains to facial verification; however, the same description can similarly apply to fingerprint verification.
Matched Against
Home Affairs Photo: There was a photo available/returned from Department of Home Affairs (DHA).
Previously Enrolled Photo: The previously enrolled photo is the previously verified 'selfie' successfully matched against a known source image, such as those received from Department of Home Affairs (DHA) or a successful Document Capture.
Moving forward, we will continue to verify users against their most recently enrolled, successfully matched photo. This approach ensures the verification process remains accurate and accommodates any changes in users' facial features, as Department of Home Affairs (DHA) records may include outdated images.
Captured Photo: The captured photo is the “selfie” recently taken by the user for this verification purpose.
Document Photo: Document photo is the photo that was extracted from the uploaded verification document (Passport; Smart ID etc.)
Failed Photo Extraction: This error means that the photo from the Document capture could not extract successfully.
Biometric Verification
Verification Performed: This indicates the timestamp of when the verification process was completed by the end user.
Pin code: The unique verification PIN assigned to the user upon their verification request.
Country Code: The user's country determines the verification process. If the user is in RSA, we will query Department of Home Affairs (DHA). If the user is Non-RSA citizen, we will not query Department of Home Affairs (DHA) and will proceed with document capture instead.
ID Verification Results
Face Verification Against Captured Photo Results: Was the verification between the two extracted images successful or unsuccessful.
Face Verification Score: The face verification score compares the submitted "selfie" with the reference photo, which may include the “golden source” image (from Department of Home Affairs (DHA) or a verification document) or a previously successfully enrolled photo.
IDV Source: This “Golden Source” data originates from various integrated channels. If Department of Home Affairs (DHA) system is offline, we have alternative vendors.
Hanis Source: This “Golden Source” data originates from various integrated channels. If Department of Home Affairs (DHA) is offline, we have alternative vendors.
